The tastings were amazing, the places we stopped to eat at were delicious, and the encouragement received from hanging with the guys was timely & appreciated. Such a great experience!
Great opportunities to look inward and plan outward, great location and accommodations, and a great opportunity to learn experientially about wine and whiskey.
I have gone to many Christian men’s events in the past and constantly feel uncomfortable and, by the end, feel exhausted from the awkward interactions and the leaders berating you with all the things you are doing and how you are failing God and your family. This event was the opposite. The group conversation prompts felt natural and encouraged me to know that others were living through struggles and successes similar to my life. They left me feeling hopeful rather than defeated. Then, following the conversations, we went and drank, which seemed to lead to natural connections and conversations. This trip was the highlight of my year so far.
